Multi-year Suppy Deal signed with Q-Cell AGMarch 21, 2006Day4 Energy Inc., a Burnaby, BC manufacturer of Photovoltaic modules and sun concentrator receivers announced today the signing of a multi-year supply contract with Q-Cells AG of Thalheim, Germany, the world´s second largest producer of solar cells. The contract is an important milestone on the path of continued multi-lateral collaboration between the two companies dating back to 2004. “Our philosophy is based on providing premium quality products to our customers. Through our co-operation with Q-Cells we can combine unique benefits of our proprietary cell interconnection technology with the cutting edge advancements in high efficiency PV cell design and processing techniques that Q-Cells is famous for”, said George Rubin Vice President and COO of Day4 Energy Inc. Securing the supply of PV cells for its manufacturing line brings Day4 yet another step closer to commercial launch later this year. Considering the overall situation with raw material in the Photovoltaic industry it is hard to overestimate the importance of this development. “Long term security of material is one of the most critical aspects of our commercial roll out program.
