Production Quality Control

(Salary range $45K -50K per year)

Join rapidly growing solar electric company in the green and renewable energy industry – one of the fastest growing markets worldwide! Day4 Energy is Canada’s up and coming designer and manufacturer of photovoltaic (solar electric) modules and products.

You will be responsible for producing and administering production process information, planning & organization, documentation of all vital production processes, and perform necessary quality checks in production, input control. Your work will assure our high quality standards of product leaving our plant, and provide input and guidance for the improvement in our processes. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Your responsibility will be to conduct all necessary environmental tests which guarantee Day4 high quality standards. In detail this means you will be responsible for sample production, climatic simulation machine setup, module testing and environmental chamber quality. Finally you will keep track of all tested samples and maintain and update the testing report.

Besides general quality control, you will be responsible for certification processes started on new and/or upgraded products. You will ensure that all UL/CSA/TUV, etc. certifications are well coordinated and executed in a timely manner. This includes preparation of all necessary documentation and samples, following ongoing certification procedures, updating management on a regular basis about certification status, and taking all necessary actions to ensure fast and successful certification.

We are looking for an energetic, resourceful and sociable staff member that will work well with our existing team. Strong communication skills are essential, as well as excellent competency with computer systems and office software. In your role, an eye for details and accuracy in observation will be valuable traits. German language fluency is an asset.
