New Production FacilityDay4 Energy Inc., a Burnaby, BC manufacturer of Photovoltaic modules and sun concentrator receivers announced today its move of March 3, 2006 to a new facility. Located in South Burnaby, BC this 30,000 square foot facility will serve as a launch pad for the company’s first commercial production line scheduled for completion in the 2nd Quarter of 2006. The move is an important milestone in the company’s development as it marks official transition from pure Research & Development to the commercialization phase. “While our R&D program continues to push forward we are now set to bring the first generation of Day4’s products to market.” said George Rubin, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Day4 Energy Inc. “The first production line is a result of a rigorous planning process. It will provide us with flexibility to quickly move new product designs from the lab bench to commercial scale.” The new location offers sufficient production space and expansion possibilities. The building will further provide an increased space for the company’s R&D program that continues to push forward with development of sun concentrator PV power generation products poised to dramatically reduce the cost of PV power generation in the near future.
